Human Resources Generalist II (Employee Experience)

Position Summary:

As an Employee Experience Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a positive and productive workplace culture by leading workforce planning and employee relations efforts, while supporting key functions across the Employee Experience (EE) department. This role requires proactive ownership of core Human Resources (HR) responsibilities, with a primary focus on workforce planning and employee relations, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and alignment with the Bank’s strategic goals.

You will lead initiatives that strengthen and support the talent strategy, support organizational design, and promote best practices across the teammate lifecycle. This includes analyzing workforce trends, leading employee relations matters, and providing actionable insights to leadership through data and reporting.

What will you do:

Key Responsibilities

Workforce Planning & Talent Strategy

  • Lead workforce and talent planning initiatives in alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee job descriptions, promotions, transfers, and partner on succession planning.
  • Analyze attrition, retention, and workforce trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate on organizational design and talent realignment.
  • Develop and implement programs to support future talent needs.
  • Partner with leadership to forecast staffing needs and proactively address gaps.
  • Prepare regular HR dashboards and workforce reports for leadership.

Teammate Lifecycle & Experience

  • Analyze onboarding, transfer, and exit analysis and communicate findings and identify trends and opportunities.
  • Coordinate offboarding and exit interviews; document insights to inform retention strategies.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and benefit administration processes.
  • Assist with compensation benchmarking, salary structure maintenance, and merit award coordination.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Lead employee relations matters including coaching, conflict resolution, and performance concerns.
  • Conduct fact-finding and documentation of teammate concerns.
  • Support investigations and corrective action processes.
  • Partner with legal counsel on complex employee relations matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Review and revise policies and procedures aligned with emerging HR best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Departmental Support

In addition to core responsibilities, this role will:

  • Provide flexible support across various EE functions, including recruitment, compensation, benefits, compliance, and teammate engagement.
  • Collaborate with team members across the EE department to ensure seamless execution of initiatives and consistent teammate support.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and teammate experience.
  • Serve as a resource for teammates and leaders across departments, offering guidance and support on EE-related matters as needed.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training, communications, and change management efforts that span multiple EE disciplines.

Qualifications

Secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Two or more years of relevant work experience in Human Resources, or a combination of education/experience that would enable incumbent to meet accountabilities and required competencies of the position.
